Like what I said; school year will end in few days. It is usually fine to not attend some class in the school so there was my nephew. He didn’t attend to school just to be home with us. He actually never stop to convince us going to our farm to look around, which my husband really likes to do. So in the afternoon, we decided to take a look at our farm with my nephew and my sister in-law. I wasn’t there for so long, and I am actually not going to farm unlike my brothers and sister ( when we were so young), so I am not so familiar which one is ours and which one is not. 🙂 Reason why my husband was making fun from me the whole time.
So before we reached the farm, we stopped by to my brother’s old house. They were not living there since before; but now they are ready to move back because nobody is going to look after with my parent. They are both getting old and someone needs to look for them, while the three of us are away. ( Me in Czech Republic, my 2nd brother is now working in Taiwan with three years contract, and my sister has big possibility to move to Australia, because she has her fiancée living there.) therefore, nobody lives with my parent but my little nephew. I actually asked my eldest brother to do that, because I am not comfortable everyday; it seems like a nightmare when I only think that anytime soon, someone might do something with my parents and nobody was there to help them. 😦 so I did asked my brother, and I am happy that he did it.
Back to the story. Well, it was sunny, and my husband was really happy that finally.. finally we are going to catch some color, while we are both in the Philippines.
Adventure:
1st: FARM ADVENTURE
My brother came even before we reached the farm. He wanted to guide us so, he came. He said he’s going to check out for our small Carabao. When my husband heard about it, he immediately asked where is it, because he wanted to see it and if possible ride on it; but Carabao was at the middle of the farm, and unfortunately not able to ride on it because it was so small.
Even though, he wasn’t able to ride with Carabao, he still wanted to cross along the small piece of land to see the Carabao face to face. The way was so tiny and sliding, and if he did some bad step, he will fall to mud. I told him not to go because he was so heavy, and probably that small way, will collapsed because of him. I knew it will not stay! He was so stubborn so he still wanted to cross along, and be where my brother was. My nephew tried to find a good way, which will stay, so we followed him, and when we reached the middle, it was dead-end. We came back from the very beginning but unfortunately, my brother was done checking out for that Carabao.
Since my husband can’t get through, I just took photos of him with those small bricks to cross along the farm. While we were there, they also mentioned what happened when my soon to be brother in-law also visited the farm. He wasn’t so careful, and he was running with those small bricks, while it was sliding, so he fell and he was so dirty after that; also got some small damaged with his feet.
So after we checked the farm, we went to one small lake located at the same spot. Water was a little dirty, but it was fine. It’s not for swimming anyway. We saw one small frog; probably one fisherman left it there to catch some fish for the other day, but my nephew just throw some stone on that and frog goes away. Bad nephew! (Giggling)
My husband wanted to stay a little longer so we took some photos; then after that; my brother asked my husband if he wanted to ride with him with motorcycle, but my husband refused. He thought that the motorcycle will be damaged because he was heavy. (Just for fun, he actually wanted to just walk with me, to go back home, because there was sun and he wanted to catch more color as much as possible.)
2nd: CUTTING THE WOODS FOR POULTRY HOUSE
Here is what happened next. When we arrived back home, my brother wanted to cut some wood for the poultry house. My husband wanted to try everything what is possible, so I asked my brother to teach him how to do it. I immediately grabbed my camera from the bedroom, and make sure I will have everything documented. (Giggling)
While looking at him doing it; I felt like he was enjoying it. I was so happy, because for me, it’s is some kind of success for him doing small participation cutting small piece of wood; he was telling me before “I wanted to do participate in building our future house, I know I can do it”. Yeah, he was dreaming of doing carpentry, because he was always just with his notebook and surfing over the internet. It’s good to have a man dreaming for something simple in his life! I’m glad. 🙂
3rd: FEEDING THE CHICKEN FOR FIRST TIME
So that doesn’t end like that. Here is what happened next. It was afternoon, my brother needs to feed the chicken, and since we are not doing anything yet; I told my husband to try it. (It’s better to do something for first, than to gets bored without doing anything, right?) so my brother grabbed the food, and he gave it to my husband to let him tried. He showed him how to do it. It’s quite simple, but I never tried it. (Giggling)
My nephew is kind of kid who really loves to take photos of everything; maybe like his auntie (Me). I saw him even taking video of his uncle feeding the chicken, while it was raining a bit.
Okay, forget it. My nephew is just gifted. (Giggling) Well, my husband seems enjoying to what he was doing. From few steps away, I was there sitting at the terrace, taking photos of him. I know right? I am such, a documentary type. (Giggling) After few minutes, he was done; he immediately came to me, and kissed me. I asked him, “Was it fun?”. He said, “yeah, of course. It was my first time.”
4th: FLIES KILLER
Having a poultry close to your house/s causes of so many flies flying around. It was kind of annoying that they are flying everywhere, step to our food in the dine; uncomfortable when they touched the skin; so there at my parent’s house; killing flies are some kind of daily routine.
My husband was pissed off from those flies flying everywhere and like what he said, “They are eating me.” (Giggling) so he also is grabbing those for smashing flies, to help reduce their counts. My father was spraying some chemical but the more we do it, the more they grow their population. I know they were also dirty, and bringing so much bacteria, so I told my mother if she can buy those insect spray, or flies spray in the market. It didn’t help!
So that is how my husband did his own adventure in our first day with parent house.
As a wife, first thing I did was to wash our laundry. (Giggling)
