We decided to start the day by finding out where is the shopping mall. We have been in only one shopping mall called “West End City Centre“. It has 400 shops and it is the most impressive and largest shopping mall in Budapest. It is located next to the Nyugati Train Station. West End is open from Monday-Saturday at 10:00am-09:00pm, every Sunday from 10am-06:00pm.
After shopping we headed back to the hotel, and leave our belongings and enjoyed our last moment in Hungary. We walked again and there I noticed this small building with interesting architecture.
We went to passage and reached this called “Adam clark Tunnel“ with stop light under the Buda Castle.
After sometime we decided to finally go to Royal Palace which is at the top, and we needed the lift which is like hundred years old; in order to reach the top.
When we reached the top, the view was just so fantastic, and you can see almost everything from there. Since the lift is just until 10 in the evening; we immediately go first at this church called “Matthias Chruch“. It is located in Budapest, Hungary at the heart of Buda Castle District. According to what I read, it was named after the King Matthias, who ordered the transformation of its original southern tower.
If you get starving while roaming around Matthias Church, you don’t have anything to worry about because there are plenty of restaurants near-by, and they also have one coffee shop called “Panorama Café“. It has good over-looking view of Danube River. You can easily find this coffee shop because this is the only one Café, located near-by “Fishermen’s Bastion”.
After we looked around the Matthias Church we headed to the Royal Palace. We have just few hours left, so everything we did was just a few checking to any place that seems interesting. First I took photo of my husband to this building not knowing that; it is the building called “Sándor Palace”. It is the official residence of the President of the Republic of Hungary.
And for those who have the missing cat, I think I found your kitty. (Giggling) Kitty is roaming around in Budapest, Hungary; also wanted to check what is there in the Royal Palace. (Giggling)
Okay then, maybe you checked out the kitty already, so let’s move on to the Royal Palace. Buda Castle also known as Royal Palace is the historical castle and palace complex of the Hungarian kings in Budapest. The Castle is part of Budapest World Heritage Site, declared in 1987. (More info here)
And that is how our trip to Budapest, Hungary ended! We never been to Royal Garden, because we are at the top and Garden was at the bottom. The lift will be close at 10 in the evening, and that moment it was kind of late to head and look around at the Royal Garden.
I will be posting some observation in Hungary… for the next topic. Keep reading!
Looks like you guys got to see a lot on your trip 🙂
