Shopping and Saving!

Financial crisis is everywhere nowadays. People will probably think how to save money before or after shopping. Well, it was just my idea and I don’t know if someone will do the same after reading this topic or find it useful.

I am totally newbie in the world of wives. I don’t know many things yet, and even budgeting or making a list on what and  how  to spend the money is a bit hard for me in the beginning. Like other wives out there, I am thinking how to save money, even though I really loved shopping. I always bought something when I went to shop, and never go home until I have something in my hand. I admit that I am shopaholic. I know who am I and I know that I can still save while shopping, and trust me I am now trying to minimize shopping activity. Seriously! I got this idea two months ago. I asked my husband if it is okay if I will buy coin bank. Yes, you read it right a coin bank. I always asked my husband’s opinion first before doing something I want. We are one; in making decision though it was very small issue to decide. My husband told me it was fine, so we went to store to buy at least one or two of them. We actually bought two, one is pig and the other was football style.

As we arrived home, we put all coins in the coin bank; I just left one hundred on my husband’s wallet for his taxi fare the next morning. From that day, I started to collect coin; when my husband arrived from work, when he was from PUB, and even after we shopped. After we went shopping, and unpacked all the groceries. Expect the next word in my mouth “do we have coin for piggy?” It was actually nice to look and measure the weight of the coin bank. It is getting heavier and heavier every day.  My husband exactly knows what he must do when he was away. He always must bring coins for the coin bank or else make it double in the next day. Sounds really wise, right? I do really want to save money. My coin bank is the reason why nowadays, I am able to go back home from shopping mall without anything, just coin in the wallet is enough for me. Big progress right? It helps me with my shopaholic history and helped me save money.

We all know that you might always leave few coins in your wallet; it is either big amount or even cents. Try to look around you; you will probably see few coins that might be included in your own coin bank. It is possible that other people just left it behind, and never find it useful for them. They probably didn’t consider that, as help to their savings, because it was just a coin; but if you do get a coin bank or something useful to store your coins together, you will see how that coin can grow each and every day. Consider it as normal pet, which also needs to eat regularly, but I am not saying that you should put coin in there three times in a day, unless you want it like that.

People got too much pride most of the time. They don’t even want a small junk like coin to be part of their savings. They want paper bill light weight but actually big amount, unlike coins; heavy but small amount. They would rather put that paper bill into the bank as their saving and left behind the coins somewhere else. Well, if I were you, I will be wiser than you were now.

Remember: Coins are not just a coin!
